Mr. Rothschild.. you were probably the coolest guy in our school.. weather it be joking around during our free periods.. working out in the gym at school.. or you being our sub in many different classes you always made everything fun... even though i did not know you that well i still teasure each moment  i had with you in school because you were a good hearted person and everyone knew who you were... you will always be missed by me.. and especially your football team of 06... you were a great roll model and u will never be forgotten...

Rob, you and I were in the same orientation group freshman year at college. I was intimidated at first because you looked like you could throw me across Mendel field if you wanted to, but once I started talking to you I realized that you were a nice, smart, and down to earth dude. Not to mention you had the ability to make everyone laugh. You gave me some advice my freshman year and really helped me get through a new time in my life. I'll never forget that. Over the years at school we went our separate ways, but we always went out of our ways to at least say what's up as we were passing by. My story seems small compared to a lot of others on here, but you've had a positive impact on so many people's lives. I was lucky to have met you. Close

It is amazing four months can change your life. I am a freshman at Tappan Zee high school as well as one of Rob Rothschild wrestlers. Four months ago I met Coach Rothschild though it may seem like a short time, but those four months have impacted my life dramatically. Coach taught me what it meant to be tough, how to dominate life and, how to use my forearm as a weapon but most of all he taught me how to be a man.   Robert Rothschild will be remebered for many things but none greater than coach.   I must say, freshman year, I was so mad at you.  You tried to beat up my lil roommate during the football game we played in the snow, even though he was talking trash to you.  After that I thought you were just a bully.  But after that, say sophomore year and there after, you were one of the most respectful and cool gentlemen with me.  I mean, everyone knew the Broth, but I always looked at you as a dude I completely respected and could converse with in any setting.  It's a shame more people didn't get the opportunity to meet you but cheers to your friends and family who knew you best.  God bless.

you have been a great person the entire time ive known you, throughout my experience with yours and my brothers friends you have always been the person to have my back in a battle of your best friends you were the only one of the crew to stand up to my brothers and say.. "hey hes got a point here" or even if i didnt.. to show that youd stand up for me in the times that i could be beatin up.. or in the summer time.. thrown in the pool.. all i can describe you as is a great person.. when michael or james said "no im not genna catch for u, or pitch to you.. you would always step up and help me out not only because you were better then them at baseball, but because you were that kind of person.. always willing to help a person out.. no matter if it was your best friend, or your best friends little brother, who no one else would even pay attention to.

i remember a time, my freshmen year.. baseball season.. you mike steph bello and james all showed up at my baseball game to rout me on.. no1 thought i would even play but when i did the rest of them would critique me or make fun.. but you were different, i can remember you saying.. lets do this eddie.. you got it, coming from you it ment alot considering at that time i considerd you one of the best pitchers ive known in my life time.. you were that kind of person
that nomatter what i could count on for encouragement or advice..
 well really through these stories, all i mean to say is that, through the times that ive known you.. youve been nothing but a great person. im sure tht that is the only way anyone will think of you from here on out because i guarentee youve had nothing but a great influence on the other lives youve touched.. wheather it be your students, athletes, friends or family.. i have nothing but the utmost respect for you and will never forget you

There isnt a single day that goes by that I don't think of Rob. There are so many things to say and yet I don't know where to start. Rob and I were friends till the end, and he was one of the people I admired most in my life. We kept in touch throughout the years- even considering the fact that I lived 2 hours away from home. What I'll miss the most about him is his ability to make me laugh- no matter what mood I was in. Like the time I needed to get out of my house and we grabbed lunch at the saloon. I wanted to sit in one of the booths, but when we sat down I realized that Rob didn't fit inside the booths. His knees hit the table and he could barely breath in between the tight space...but he sat there anyway because I wanted to. I always felt so comfortable just calling him to vent about my day because I knew that in a few minutes, I would be laughing uncontrollably. When I heard of his passing, I was torn apart. The more I think about it though, I realize that Rob really did live his life to the fullest, as he once told me he wasn't going to let a day go by without making the most of it. I'm proud to be able to say that one of my closest friends was the most gentle, fun-loving, and all around amazing person in my eyes. He is someone who will always be with me in all of my memories, thoughts, prayers.... and in my heart. Close

While I haven’t seen you in two years, which I now deeply regret, I’ve always considered you a great human being; a truly genuine person, with a great heart and personality are just a few words that describe you, but then again it is virtually impossible to list your great qualities without running out of space. I heard you visited Nova’ for home coming but I didn’t know at the time and didn’t see you since you graduated. But a learned you had been living up your dream by enriching the lives of the kids through sports. Rob, I want to thank you for being a great friend when I was a freshman and being a mentor by showing me around the spots, and even giving me rides back to campus. Now that you rest in Heaven, you will serve to all of us as a constant aspiration of striving to achieve your dreams and being truly happy. God bless you
