The Ultimate Coach / Amy Rosenthal (Teacher/Players' Parent )
Rob was the ultimate coach and role model for his players. He inspired greatness and commitment to the team and themselves. Each time his players push themselves at the gym or choose whole grain over wonder bread they can and will honor his memory and keep it alive. His years were cut short, yet he accomplished so much in his short time with us. May he rest in peace.

One of TZ's Finest / Mark Stanford (Coach/Teacher/Friend)
Every so often, teachers are blessed to come across individuals who leave their mark on the people around them. Brothy was one of those special people who made everyone around him a better person. That he decided to share those gifts with other children as a teacher and a coach is a testament to the kind of man he was. TZ will always be a better place because Brothy was/is a part of it. Rest in peace.
Rob was a great guy. He was the very first person I met at LIU at orientation/open house. We even had a class together our very first semester there. He was always at class making things intersting and fun despite some of the boring lectures :P He was a great study partner just before exams and always a great guy to talk to reguardless. I will miss him....

Rob "Brothy" is and will always be a best friend to so many people! He left a lasting impression on a group of guys, his best friends, in good times and bad. I was blessed to witness his ability to spread is positive light on so many people first hand! Although I only knew Rob through friends and had a couple of encounters with him, I knew and felt the amazing energy that came from his soul. He spoke so passionately about the things and people he loved(coaching and teaching) that I can only imagine that while looking down on all the people he touched, while here on earth, he will continue to live through every single person that looked up to him and loved him. I am so sorry to Rob's family and wish you nothing but my prayers and best wishes during this difficult time! God Bless!!!! Close

You were the last sub i had this year and you were absolutley my most favorite sub ever! You were so much fun and you knew how to relate to us. Instead of being the sub that would tell you that you had to do this and had to do that and threatin to tell the teacher on us, you would just be cool with everything and let us know more about you. You were truly a great person and even though i didn't have you all the time as a sub, i could see how much the younger kids loved you. You brought happiness to alot of people's lives at BlindBrook and you will always be remembered for that. Forever you will be apart of the BlindBrook family and you will be truly missed. I know your looking down on everyone and still watching out for them like you use to do at school. We will miss you..and i will miss seeing you in the library and talking to you about sports. rip. your my new guardian angel*

A Great Man to Everyone / Jordan Wurtzel
You were a great person, coach, and teacher to everyone. Many people have been inspired by you, and I was looking foward to having you as a coach in baseball and football SO much beacuse of how amazing of a person you were. You will always be in the hearts of me and everyone at Blind Brook. Close
How do you explain such a loss to a classroom full of students who would often say to me, "Ms.T, if you have to be absent, make sure Rothschild is our sub," when you cannot even really understand it yourself? How do you accept losing someone who had so much potential to do even more wonderful things as a coach and teacher? I don't even think Rob knew just how much he meant to people at Blind Brook. Students who were not sure of their athletic strengths were inspired to give it their all on the baseball and football fields. Students who were once reluctant writers came rushing in to show me things they had recently written with Rob in his sports writing elective class. One student simply said, "Life is just not fair." and I honestly could not disagree. But Rob surely made his life count in so many ways, regardless of how brief his life was. We are all lucky to have been a part of it.
May he rest in peace / Jack Davison
Although I did not know him personally, I am sure since he had anything to do with the TZ wrestling program, he was a very, very great man. I believe that even though I did not know him, it is my duty as a human being to pay my respects. Close

I will always remember... / Lili Rothschild (Cousin)
My cousin, Robby Rothschild, was a great man. He was a loving cousin and I only wish I had got to know him more. My funniest memory with my cousin was one Easter at my grandparents I saw him sitting there. I had been so little when I had last seen him, I didn't reconize him. I walked over and said a nervous hello. Right away, he relized I wasn't sure who he was. When he told me who he was we both laughed about it and shared memories from when I was little. I don't know why Rob was destined to a short life on Earth ,but I do know that he sure made an impression on a lot of people while he was here. In a way, he almost left a piece of him here. My family and I will miss him but, from the looks of all these messages, he lived a good life.
not really sure what to say, but we all cant realize that such a youthful and vibrant person was simply just not there monday during school. Everyone knew Mr. Rothschild in some way whether they had him as a coach or or simply saw him in the hall he had a positive affect on everybodies life. He was a great coach, teacher, friend, but most importantly he was a great great person. The entire school and i can only offer our deepest condolences to his friends and family and cant begin to imagine their pains. I am very sorry for his family and can we as a school can only offer our support and care in this tragic time.

There are some many things i wonder about. I odnt understand why you were taken so young. I remeber you always talking about how you were going to be a teacher-you were a coach, and more than a sub. You were the sub that whenever we heard that you were subbing, students would cheer and actaully-SURPRISINGLY-behave! You were sucha good man and a teaching inspiration. You made me believe there was more to school than sitting bored all day, and in the short time i knew you, i would continue to adore your personality. RIP "Mr. Gorgeous" and i hope that you move n to a better place. To his family and friends: I am deeply sorry for your lost-you lost a great person and to me, a grave inspiration. Close

To the Rothcilds Family / Steven Rodrigues (nothing)
Dear Rothchilds
Hi my name is Steven Rodrigues. Iam was Fox Lane's 96 pounder this season I took 3rd in the section. I rememeber when we wrestled Tappan Zee this season he was such a cool guy joking around with his wrestlers before hand and everybody on the team seamed to like him and look up to him. My hearts go out to the the Rothchilds family. I am so sorry for your loss. I just wanted to let you guys know that for the little I knew him he seemed so nice and a cool guy.
I am so sorry about this tragedy. I knew Brothy because I was in Tims grade and because Brothy was in my sisters (Crystal) graduating class. Even though I did not know him as well as those who were in his graduating grade, I always knew what his next step was. Brothy was a man of heart, chrisma and wits. He was also a great athlete and was someone I looked up to. I will always remember him as someone striving for success, accomplishment and and someone who ran that extra mile for it. His moral fiber will forever be missed, and I give my deepest condolences. Best wishes for the family, and cherish the memorys you have for they cannot disappear.
